Beacon James: Jameson was working. Nothing special. Just working. Get up, look yourself in the eye in the bathroom mirror, brush your tusks and work as a financial consultant in Omaha, Nebraska. There was no music in his life: it was nothing but numbers, angry customers and corn (and corn is not a natural part of an elephant's diet).
Creepy Band was born on the Devils night. 5 souls came together to play one show October 30th 2010 and play they did. The combination of the guitar, bass, drums, church organ, and screaming vocals wove together in a dissonant harmony, loud yet maintaining a subtle eeriness not to be forgotten.
‘A Series of Screws’ is System and Station’s most recent album. ‘A Series of Screws’ delivers plenty of hooks in a tighter package, building on a trajectory that began with 2008’s ‘A Nation of Actors’ and continued with last fall’s ‘I’m Here To Kill’ EP. At the root of it, System and Station are a hard working/touring indie-rock band with plenty of arena-sized moments.
For Hollywood-based rocker The Fabulous Miss Wendy, comparison to iconic female musicians is nothing new: She is already “the sexiest rock star ever,” according to “Revolver Magazine”. Wendy has come a long way since picking up a guitar at the age of ten, and becoming a virtuoso by the age of 12. Inspired by old-school punk acts like the Misfits, The Dead Kennedys, and The Ramones, and driven by her commitment of never taking "no" for an answer, she formed and played in several bands during her scandalous high school years.
Hailing from Chicago, Run and Punch is a female fronted 6 piece band that set out to keep the ska/punk sound alive and exciting.
The Sledge Grits Band has made quite a splash in the local and national music scene. Their musicianship is far beyond their years and they are known for turning skeptics into believers! These girls are wowing audiences both young and old. Since the band came together in 2008, they have been a part of 300+ shows including the CBS Early show and BET's 106&Park.
Charlotte, NC surely has something to call their own in SUGAR GLYDER – a dynamic blend of pop, ambience, and grit. Some instant question marks might cross one’s mind, the first being – WHAT IS A SUGAR GLYDER? The answer: a primarily nocturnal marsupial with a pungent odor and bizarre noise habits; somewhat fitting for a rock band touring the country in a van. All joking aside, the real truth behind the name lies in its longevity and survival. Sugar gliders maintain the ability to glide for incredibly long distances with their legs stretched, giving them an advantage over the world at large. The real-life human SUGAR GLYDER – Daniel Howie, Chris Rigo, Robby Hartis and Bobby Mathews – share this life-advantage in their charismatic debut album The Eyes: They See (TETS), produced by none other than Steven Haigler (The Pixies, Brand New, As Tall As Lions).
Norman from Murder FM called in to the studio on May 1, 2013.
Jet Edison has emerged from the rich music scene of Colorado as a top rock/fusion band on the road today. In only a few years, the band has honed their unique sound into something entirely their own, with each member contributing a wealth of influences from modern rock, '70s prog, old school funk, and '80s dance music. Borrowing from so many styles, their original songs are technically crafted with thoughtful lyrics and talented improvisation, and together they create a sound as interesting and imaginative as it is solid and danceable.
