After reluctantly taking piano lessons from his mother’s private piano studio, he was awarded with a hand me down Airline guitar. Quickly catching the bug, he saved his money and invested in his very own Fender guitar. While learning “Rock” songs, because “that’s what was cool” he was continuously listening to oldies and country music playing on his family radio. He formed his first band in the seventh grade. They debuted at the local talent show and went on to perform at local dances and events. His first live “bar gig” was at the age of 18 south of Stillwater, Oklahoma while the house band was on break.
From that first moment of playing to a crowd that sang back the cover tunes he was singing, he knew he couldn’t stop. He formed a band that would take him to shows all across Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Tennessee, and Nebraska. Playing around 150 shows a year he is quickly gaining momentum. Playing fairs and festivals with the likes of Whiskey Myers, Bleu Edmondson, Chris Young, Lady Antebellum, Joe Nichols, Brett Eldredge, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and many more.
He is proud to call himself a songwriter and writes a majority of the songs he plays. With a catalog of over 200 songs he is quickly being recognized by the industry as a proficient songwriter. The songs are written with a conviction and passion that shows this is something he lives for.
