Homer Marrs and The Excellent Adventure

Air Date: 08-09-15

Homer Marrs and the Excellent Adventure is a quirky pop/rock act based in Chicago. They sing about obscure things a lot of the time, and fun things the rest of the time. Except when they are sad, which happens, because life.

They've played at a bunch of traditional music venues and gay bars in Chicago, and have done a handful of shows out of state in exciting places like L.A. and Saugatuck, Michigan. Marrs performed "The Facebook Song" on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" via webcam in support of the first National UnFriend Day. Webcam, y'all.

Before doing music Homer performed sketch and improv comedy with the Second City and GayCo Productions, and has written for Film.com, Time Out Chicago, American Theatre, CareerBuilder, QVegas, Envy Man and Chicago's Nightspots magazine.

2012's "Prom King" was produced by Ben Taylor of JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound, recorded at Handwritten Recording in Chicago, and mastered by Carl Saff. A new EP will be out in early 2015.
