Ashland HIGH, the band from Trace Cyrus, has announced their first tour! The band will be making their first cross country trek as direct support for the Blackout Forever Tour with Breathe Carolina and The Ready Set,starting March 21st. The band will be playing two headlining kickoff shows on February 24th at Chain Reaction in Anaheim andFebruary 26th at The Roxy in West Hollywood with Runner Runner as direct support for both shows . Formerly of pop rock band Metro Station, Trace has taken his musical experience and put everything he knows into Ashland HIGH. Consisting of pop, dub step, r&b and rock, this project put Trace behind all aspects of the production where he wrote the lyrics and sings all the vocals.
Wanting to give back to his fans for the support they have shown him through the years, Trace decided he wanted to give his entire album away for free download, which he did on New Years Eve. Already seeing over 150k downloads he knows it was the right decision. Simultaneously while giving away the album, he launched the video for the first single "Jealous Lover" which was shot in various locations around Venice Beach and can be seen here: www.AshlandHigh.com.
Trace has been recording songs as Ashland High for the past 2 years all around California, Canada, Nashville, Venice beach and has now made over 100 songs. All the songs from "Geronimo" were recorded at the end of Nov 2011 within 9 days at Trace's home studio and were edited and put online 1 month later on New Years Eve.Leading off with the first single called "Jealous Lover" the song is about a couple that misses out on true love. It is about how "it is so easy to always fight and be jealous when you should just be happy and in love," says Cyrus.
