Ellis Paul's songwriting credentials are unassailable. They are as genuine as the fifteen Boston Music Awards he has earned, as indelible as the tattoo of Woody Guthrie that adorns his arm, and as authentic as the musical roots he draws upon with every note he plays. At the invitation of Woody's daughter, Ellis wrote a song with Woody's unpublished lyrics and was given an honorary citizenship to Okemah, OK. Woody's hometown.
In the compelling video for “City Lives,” Jacque Ryal’s infectious 2014 debut single as a solo artist, the multi-talented singer songwriter – known professionally by the single name Ryal – takes us through a fascinating, delightfully quirky autobiographical journey of the “different lives” she’s experienced in her years living in New York City. With quick cut shots all in the backseat of an NYC taxicab, she’s A punk rocker. A corporate Wall Street exec. A freewheeling Boho-chic hippie. A red carpet glamour girl. And then, ultimately, while asking in the infectious chorus “Who ya gonna be/Who ya gonna love,” Ryal is back to herself – an artist unafraid to evolve creatively and committed to her expanding musical sensibilities.

Akron, OH native and current Chicagoan Colin Morris is a multi-instrumentalist songwriter who’s been composing melodic, alternative rock since childhood piano lessons gave way to experimenting with guitars and drums. Being the only kid in the house required playing and recording all the instruments himself, and Morris has stuck to that method on his 2015 debut EP, Could Be Anything.
Currently based in the Chicago area, Sean Michael is multi-talented artist with an eclectic blend of sounds ranging from Britpop reminiscent of The Beatles to the current industrial drive of Nine Inch Nails. Add in some variations similar to the dance beats of Lady Gaga or driving guitar riffs of the Foo Fighters and you begin to get an idea of the diversity that his music has in store for the listener. It is sonically crafted, lyrically sculptured, and passionately driven original music.
theSHIFT is a phenomenon. John Shannon, MJ Lambert and Ben Geis — three of the most vital, highly sought-after musicians in New York City and the world-over — have put aside their roles as hired guns for some of the biggest names in the music business to gamble it all on one band… and they’re doing it because theSHIFT is about something much bigger.
London is a singer/songwriter who found his passion for music early and has never strayed from that path. He has been steadily building a catalogue of original songs that first started getting traction, when he left to tour overseas in Europe some years back. Since returning stateside, he has settled in Miami where he has immersed himself in the city’s red-hot music scene. Miami for him offers the best of all world’s – it has the right combination of high-octane energy and some of the best music producers in the country to work with. In addition, being of mix heritage (Latin and Sicilian) he has been able to fully embrace his Latin roots.
